Baton Rouge Orchid Show

Last Saturday, it was a trip to the BR Orchid Show with Mom & Dad. There were some amazing displays. Naturally, some orchids came home with me. Dad’s pic was taken and published in the Sunday Advocate!

Hello

After years of container gardening on my apartment’s balcony, I finally have a house with a yard which needed a garden. My parents are avid gardeners, especially my dad, and have passed along the gardening genes as well as many wonderful plants to me. There’s something about a garden with brings a pleasant surprise every day to your life and helps you slow down that hectic and frantic lifestyle that so many of us go through on a daily basis. This will be my version of a combination of a gardening and life journal.

LOCATION: I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Zone 8b).

OBSESSIONS: Gardening, Reading books, Traveling, Cooking and Eating, Drinking Teas and Collecting kitchenware.
